He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1941.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1941.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Buzzard, of Munstead Grange in the Parish of Godalming, co. Surrey [U.K., 1929] on 17 December 1945.1 He held the office of Director of Naval Intelligence between 1951 and 1954.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1953.1
