     Sir Reginald Thomas Butler, 2nd Bt. was born on 27 April 1901.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Reginald Frederick Butler, 1st Bt. and Rose Rich.² He married, firstly, Marjorie Brown Woods, daughter of Sidney Brown Woods, on 1 June 1927.¹ He and Marjorie Brown Woods were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Kathleen Phyllis Southerton, daughter of William Aubrey Southerton, on 1 December 1950.¹ He died on 22 March 1959 at age 57.¹
     Sir Reginald Thomas Butler, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Thomas.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Butler, of Old Park, Devizes, co. Wilts. [U.K., 1922] on 19 November 1933.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Gladys Marjorie Butler is the daughter of Sir Robert Reginald Frederick Butler, 1st Bt. and Rose Rich.² She married Richard Wayland-Smith, son of Richard Smith, on 7 June 1922.¹
     From 7 June 1922, her married name became Wayland-Smith.

     Richard Wayland-Smith is the son of Richard Smith.² He married Gladys Marjorie Butler, daughter of Sir Robert Reginald Frederick Butler, 1st Bt. and Rose Rich, on 7 June 1922.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹

     Anne Elizabeth Wayland-Smith was born on 1 December 1923.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Wayland-Smith and Gladys Marjorie Butler.² She married Captain Humphry Platt, son of Colonel Ernest Henderson Rowley Cook Richard Platt, on 19 September 1953.¹ She died on 19 February 2018 at age 94.³
     From 19 September 1953, her married name became Platt.

     Colonel Ernest Henderson Rowley Cook Richard Platt lived at Lorraine House, Marle Hill, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the The Somerset Light Infantry.¹
