     Captain John Bayford Butler was born on 27 August 1832.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles George Butler and Emily Bayford.² He married Hon. Sybil Catherine Devereux, daughter of Reverend Robert Devereux, 15th Viscount Hereford and Emma Jemima Ravenscroft, on 10 January 1867.¹ He died on 3 October 1888 at age 56.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at 21 Alexandra Road, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.²

     Reverend Robert Devereux, 15th Viscount Hereford was born on 3 May 1809.² He was the son of Henry Fleming Lea Devereux, 14th Viscount Hereford and Frances Elizabeth Cornewall.² He married Emma Jemima Ravenscroft, daughter of George Ravenscroft, on 25 November 1841.² He died on 18 August 1855 at age 46.²
     He succeeded as the 15th Viscount Hereford [E., 1550] on 31 May 1843.² He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Devereux, of Castle Bromwich, co. Warwick [E., 1611] on 31 May 1843.² He held the office of Hon. Canon of Durham.²

     Hon. Sybil Catherine Devereux was the daughter of Reverend Robert Devereux, 15th Viscount Hereford and Emma Jemima Ravenscroft.² She married Captain John Bayford Butler, son of Captain Charles George Butler and Emily Bayford, on 10 January 1867.¹ She died on 19 July 1930.¹
     From 10 January 1867, her married name became Butler.

     Francis Algernon Butler was born on 26 January 1878.¹ He was the son of Captain John Bayford Butler and Hon. Sybil Catherine Devereux.² He married Dorothy Jean Chester, daughter of Douglas James Chester, on 31 July 1909.¹ He died in 1935.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment.¹

     Douglas James Chester lived at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹

     Dorothy Jean Chester is the daughter of Douglas James Chester.² She married Francis Algernon Butler, son of Captain John Bayford Butler and Hon. Sybil Catherine Devereux, on 31 July 1909.¹
     From 31 July 1909, her married name became Butler.

     Brian George Butler was born on 21 May 1910.¹ He is the son of Francis Algernon Butler and Dorothy Jean Chester.²

     Doreen Marjorie Butler was born in 1912.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Algernon Butler and Dorothy Jean Chester.² She married, firstly, Frank Clear in 1932.¹ She married, secondly, Charles Emil Burgess in 1945.¹ She married, thirdly, Lawrence George Alexander in 1955.¹ She died in 1976.¹
     From 1932, her married name became Clear. From 1945, her married name became Burgess. From 1955, her married name became Alexander.

     Frank Clear married Doreen Marjorie Butler, daughter of Francis Algernon Butler and Dorothy Jean Chester, in 1932.¹ He died in 1989.¹
     He lived at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹

     Donald Lloyd Francis Clear was born in 1937.¹ He is the son of Frank Clear and Doreen Marjorie Butler.² He married Anne Dolores Barne in 1956.¹
