     He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Master in Surgery (C.M.)¹ He fought in the Burma Campaign between 1891 and 1892.¹ He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1897 and 1898.¹ He was with the Indian Political Service.¹ He was Royal Doctor to the Court of the King of Nepal.¹ He was Honorary Physician to HM King George V in 1910. He fought in the First World War.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He fought in the Third Afghan War in 1919.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (F.R.C.S.E.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Indian Medical Service.¹

     Christina Camilla Sutherland is the daughter of Dr. J. F. Sutherland and Jane MacKay.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Percy Carr White, son of Alfred White and Elizabeth Carr.¹
     Her married name became Carr White.

     Brigadier Gerald Carr White was born in 1896.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Percy Carr White and Christina Camilla Sutherland.¹ He married Marjorie Moore.² He died in 1955.¹
     He was educated at Dragon School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.² He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Indian Army.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)²

     Oliver Lowther was born by artificial insemination circa July 1980.¹ He is the son of Hugh Clayton Lowther, 8th Earl of Lonsdale and Pamela Colleen Middleton.¹
     He was adopted by Hugh Clayton Lowther, 8th Earl of Lonsdale The donor for the artifical insemination was not Oliver’s father, Hugh Lowther. Therefore Oliver does not stand in succession to his father’s titles.¹

     Adela Ellen Susan Deck was born on 22 March 1852 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Philip Augustus Deck and Emma Long Wrey.¹ She married Franics Henry Pickering on 28 June 1870 at Waimea, Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹ She died on 10 November 1925 at age 73 at Waimea, Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 28 June 1870, her married name became Pickering.¹

     Franics Henry Pickering married Adela Ellen Susan Deck, daughter of Captain Philip Augustus Deck and Emma Long Wrey, on 28 June 1870 at Waimea, Wellington, New Zealand^G.² He died circa 1918.²

     Emma Charlotte Rosanna Deck was born on 19 September 1853 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Philip Augustus Deck and Emma Long Wrey.¹ She died on 21 October 1853 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹ She was buried on 21 October 1853 at St. Paul’s Church, Molesworth Street, Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹
