John Child, 2nd Earl Tylney of Castlemaine1 
He was given the name of John Child at birth.2 On 24 March 1734 his name was legally changed to John Tynley by Act of Parliament.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 11 December 1746.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Child, of Wanstead, Essex [E., 1678] in March 1749/50.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Castlemaine, co. Kerry [I., 1718] in March 1749/50.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Tylney of Castlemaine, co. Kerry [I., 1731] in March 1749/50.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Newtown, co. Donegal [I., 1718] in March 1749/50.2
On his death, all of his titles became extinct.2
