     He was educated at King’s College, Taunton, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was with the Royal Electricial and Mechanical Engineers in British West Africa in 1945.¹ He was registered as a Associate, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (A.R.I.C.S.) in 1955.¹ He lived in 2003 at 24 South View, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Alice Beer married, firstly, William Thomas Mullings in 1923 at Godstone, Surrey, England.¹ She married, secondly, Michael Cavendish Howard, son of Bertram Marcus Howard and Phyllis Maude Lamb, on 4 April 1956.² She died in 1978.²
     From 1923, her married name became Mullings.¹ Her married name became Howard.

     Anne Arbuthnott was born on 9 July 1897.¹ She was the daughter of Donald Stuart Arbuthnott and Anne Elizabeth Brand.¹ She married John Cyril Taylor Rains on 23 April 1930.¹ She died in December 1981 at age 84.¹
     From 23 April 1930, her married name became Rains.¹
