     Robert Hay was born in 1847 at London, England.³ He married Frederica Coventry on 14 April 1868 at Calcutta, India.^2,3 He died in 1928 at New Zealand.⁴
     He was a civil engineer.² He lived at Dunedin, New Zealand^G.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Robert Hay (1847-1928) was a London-born civil engineer. He arrived in New Zealand in 1865 and worked first for the Provincial Government, and then for David Proudfoot, as an assistant in the construction of the Port Chalmers railway. From 1876 until 1920 he was in private practice, and was engineer for the Taieri and Tuapeka counties, as well as for the Dunedin boroughs of North East Valley, West Harbour, Mornington and St Kilda, and he was consulting engineer to the City of Dunedin. He worked on various water drainage and sewerage works, railways, bridges, as well as hydroelectric and hydraulic installations throughout New Zealand.⁵
     

     Annie Hay was born on 17 November 1879 at Clyde Street, Dunedin, New Zealand.² She was the daughter of Robert Hay and Frederica Coventry.^1,3 She married Sir Charles Grant Burdett, 8th Bt., son of Sir Charles Wentworth Burdett, 7th Bt. and Grace Grant, on 25 April 1902 at Registrar’s Office, Dunedin, New Zealand.^1,3
     From 25 April 1902, her married name became Burdett.

     Sir Charles Coventry Burdett, 9th Bt. was born in 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Grant Burdett, 8th Bt. and Annie Hay. He died on 2 June 1940, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Burdett, of Birthwaite, co. York [E., 1665] on 20 November 1918.¹

     Frances Burdett was born in 1904.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Charles Grant Burdett, 8th Bt. and Annie Hay.¹ She married Anthony Lovat in 1931.¹
     From 1931, her married name became Lovat.

     Constance Hay Burdett was born on 8 January 1909.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Charles Grant Burdett, 8th Bt. and Annie Hay.¹ She married Albert Charles Blau in 1938.¹ She and Albert Charles Blau were divorced in 1952.¹ She died on 20 October 2008 at age 99.²
     From 1938, her married name became Blau.¹ In 1952 her name was legally changed to Burdett.¹ She lived in 2003 at 7 Kensington Heights, Campden Hill Road, London, England^G.¹

     Albert Charles Blau married Constance Hay Burdett, daughter of Sir Charles Grant Burdett, 8th Bt. and Annie Hay, in 1938.¹ He and Constance Hay Burdett were divorced in 1952.¹
     He was with the Swiss Diplomatic Service.¹ From 1938, his married name became Burdett.

     Charles Albert Burdett was born in 1942.¹ He is the son of Albert Charles Blau and Constance Hay Burdett.¹ He married, firstly, Christina L. von Kursell, daughter of Jost E. von Kursell, in 1977.¹ He and Christina L. von Kursell were divorced.¹ He married Maria Sonia Zulaica, daughter of Don Vicente Zulaica, in 1999.¹
