     Sir Charles Manly Browne, 3rd Bt. was born on 1 March 1806.¹ He was the son of Sir John Edmond Browne, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lorinan.¹ He married Jane Cruttwell, daughter of Thomas Macaulay Cruttwell, in 1840.¹ He and Jane Cruttwell were divorced before 1863.¹ He died on 5 September 1890 at age 84, without surviving issue.¹ He was buried at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, England^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Durham Artillery Militia.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Browne, of Palmerstown, co. Mayo [I., 1797] on 29 April 1869.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Jane Cruttwell was the daughter of Thomas Macaulay Cruttwell.¹ She married Sir Charles Manly Browne, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Edmond Browne, 1st Bt. and Margaret Lorinan, in 1840.¹ She and Sir Charles Manly Browne, 3rd Bt. were divorced before 1863.¹ She died in 1863.¹

     Sir Lionel George Arthur Cust was born on 6 June 1896.¹ He was the son of Sir Lionel Henry Cust and Hon. Sybil Lyttelton.¹ He married Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Arthur Clowes and Louisa Lucy Littleton, on 16 July 1925.¹ He died on 22 May 1962 at age 65.¹

between 1932 and 1934.¹ He was Secretary-General of the Royal Commonwealth Society between 1938 and 1958.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1939.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was again mentioned in despatches.¹ He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1954.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1959.¹

     Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Arthur Clowes and Louisa Lucy Littleton.^1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Lionel George Arthur Cust, son of Sir Lionel Henry Cust and Hon. Sybil Lyttelton, on 16 July 1925.¹ She married, secondly, Henry Augustus George Mountjoy Heneage Upton, 5th Viscount Templeton, son of Henry Edward Montagu Dorington Clotworthy Upton, 4th Viscount Templetown and Lady Evelyn Georgiana Finch-Hatton, on 6 January 1975.¹
     From 16 July 1925, her married name became Cust. After her marriage, Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes was styled as Viscountess Templetown on 6 January 1975. From 6 January 1975, her married name became Upton.¹

     Christopher Ivo Henry Cust was born on 17 July 1930.¹ He was the son of Sir Lionel George Arthur Cust and Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a practising solicitor in 1958.¹

     Elizabeth Jemima Mary Cust was born on 10 May 1926.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Lionel George Arthur Cust and Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes.¹ She married Jack Musson Benn, son of Hugh Benn, on 8 December 1947.¹
     From 8 December 1947, her married name became Benn. She lived in 2003 at 28 St. Mary’s Mead, Witan Way, Witney, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Jack Musson Benn was the son of Hugh Benn.¹ He married Elizabeth Jemima Mary Cust, daughter of Sir Lionel George Arthur Cust and Margaret Violet Louisa Clowes, on 8 December 1947.¹ He died in 1992.¹
