He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Brownrigg [U.K., 1816] on 28 January 1900.1 He was Naval Attaché to Tokyo between 1910 and 1912.1 He was Chief Naval Censor for the Admralty between 1914 and 1919.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (D.S.M.) U.S.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.1 He was Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.1
