     Sylvia Margaret Harrison was born circa 1904.² She was the daughter of William Reginald Harrison and Edith Mary Carey.^1,3 She married, firstly, David Patrick Maxwell Fyfe, 1st and last Earl of Kilmuir, son of William Thomson Fyfe and Isabella Campbell, in 1925.² She married, secondly, Herbrand Edward Dundonald Brassey Sackville, 9th Earl De La Warr, son of Gilbert George Reginald Sackville, 8th Earl De La Warr and Lady Muriel Agnes Brassey, on 1 March 1968 at Caxton Hall Register Office, London, England^G.^1,4 She died on 10 June 1992.⁴
     From 1925, her married name became Fyfe.² After her marriage, Sylvia Margaret Harrison was styled as Viscountess Kilmuir on 19 October 1954. She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1957.⁵ After her marriage, Sylvia Margaret Harrison was styled as Countess of Kilmuir on 20 July 1962. From 1 March 1968, her married name became Sackville.¹ After her marriage, Sylvia Margaret Harrison was styled as Countess De La Warr on 1 March 1968.

     William Reginald Harrison was born in 1872 at Gateacre, Lancashire, England.² He was the son of Thomas Harrison and Sarah Dulley.² He married Edith Mary Carey in 1898 at Prescot, Lancashire, England.² He died in 1948.²
