     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th/19th Hussars.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the South African Staff Corps.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.1

Maynard in 1923.1 She married, secondly, Hugh Alan Heber-Percy, son of Alan William Heber-Percy and Hon. Susan Alice Portman, on 18 June 1926.1 She died in 1977.2
     From 1923, her married name became Maynard. Her married name became Heber-Percy.
