     He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1935.¹ He was Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Northern Ireland between 1937 and 1938.¹ He fought in the Second World War in 1939.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.¹ He was awarded the U.S. Bronze Star.¹ He was Deputy Commander of the British Mission to Burma in 1948.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Federation Army of Malaya.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1958.¹ He was Colonel of the Welch Regiment between 1965 and 1969.¹

     Helen Edith Mary Berkeley was the daughter of Major Rupert Berkeley.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Frank Hastings Brooke, son of Lt.-Col. George Frank Brooke and Theodora Olivia Jackson, on 23 October 1935.¹ She died in 1973.¹
     From 23 October 1935, her married name became Brooke.¹

Frank Hastings Brooke and Helen Edith Mary Berkeley.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Blackburn, daughter of Robert Blackburn, on 3 November 1962.¹ He and Sarah Blackburn were divorced in 1978.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Paula Morris, daughter of Herbert Edwin Foxwell Morris, in 1983.¹ He and Elizabeth Paula Morris were divorced in March 2000.¹ He married, thirdly, Camille Tsu in March 2003.¹
     He was educated at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, Devon, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Tank Regiment.¹ He lived in 2003 at Garden Maisonette, 10 Great Pultney Street, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹
