     From 16 October 1971, her married name became Brooke.¹

     Brigadier Rupert C. Crowdy was born on 12 March 1910 at Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England.² He was the son of Albert Edwin Crowdy and Frances Beryl Green.³ He married Norah Gwynne Jones in 1939.² He died on 23 January 2017 at age 106.²
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.² He was Director of the Royal Army Service Corps, Headquarters of the BOAR.² He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II.²
