Sir Robert William Duff, 4th of Fetteresso was born on 8 May 1835 at Fetteresso, Kincardineshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Arthur Duff and Elizabeth Davidson Innes.1 He was baptised on 18 June 1835 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland.3 He married Louisa Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott of Ancrum, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Anderson, on 21 February 1871 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,3 He died on 15 March 1895 at age 59 at Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
     He held the office of Governor of New South Wales.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1

     From 21 February 1871, her married name became Duff.1

Sir Robert William Duff, 4th of Fetteresso and Louisa Scott.2 He married Stella Cecile Evelyn Maude, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Stanley Maude and Cecil Cornelia Marianne St. Leger Taylour, on 28 November 1928.2 He died on 3 December 1951 at age 77.1
     His name was legally changed to Arthur Abercromby Scott-Duff.2 He was given the name of Arthur Abercromby Duff at birth.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1
