     Butterworth Broadbent was born on 19 January 1837.¹ He was the son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth.¹ He married Julia Minerva Harpin, daughter of John Harpin, in 1863.¹ He died on 10 July 1873 at age 36.¹

     Julia Minerva Harpin is the daughter of John Harpin.¹ She married Butterworth Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, in 1863.¹
     From 1863, her married name became Broadbent.¹

     John Harpin lived at Birks House, Holmfirth, Yorkshire, England^G.²

     Colonel John Edward Broadbent was born on 14 April 1845.² He was the son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth.² He married, firstly, Dora Nicholson, daughter of Thomas Nicholson, in 1870.² He married, secondly, Hon. Alexandra Caroline Frances Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, daughter of John Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, 11th Baron Saye and Sele and Lady Augusta Sophia Hay-Drummond, on 1 February 1900.² He died on 7 January 1931 at age 85.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.² He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.² He fought in the Tirah Expedition between 1897 and 1898.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)²

     Dora Nicholson was the daughter of Thomas Nicholson.¹ She married Colonel John Edward Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, in 1870.¹ She died on 7 July 1897.¹
     From 1870, her married name became Broadbent.¹

     Benjamin Broadbent was born on 7 May 1850.¹ He was the son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth.¹ He married Louisa Ann Keighley, daughter of William Keighley, on 15 April 1880.¹ He died on 25 June 1925 at age 75.¹

     Louisa Ann Keighley was the daughter of William Keighley.¹ She married Benjamin Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, on 15 April 1880.¹ She died on 3 February 1938.¹
     From 15 April 1880, her married name became Broadbent.¹

     Mary Ellen Mallinson is the daughter of E. Mallinson.¹ She married Arthur Broadbent, son of John Broadbent and Esther Butterworth, in June 1897.¹
     From June 1897, her married name became Broadbent.¹
