     Lt.-Col. Edward Austen Bradford was born on 8 December 1879.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Ridley Colborne Bradford, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adela Knight.¹ He married Margaret Louisa Hardy, daughter of Herbert Carey Hardy and Adela Louisa Cassandra Knight, on 1 January 1908.¹ He died on 5 June 1958 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹

     Margaret Louisa Hardy was born in 1879 at Danehill, Sussex, England^G.² She was the daughter of Herbert Carey Hardy and Adela Louisa Cassandra Knight.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Edward Austen Bradford, son of Sir Edward Ridley Colborne Bradford, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adela Knight, on 1 January 1908.¹ She died in 1972.¹
     From 1 January 1908, her married name became Bradford.¹

     Herbert Carey Hardy married Adela Louisa Cassandra Knight, daughter of Edward Knight and Adela Portal, on 23 July 1872.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He lived at Sussex, England.³ He lived at Danehurst, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Brigadier Berenger Colborne Bradford was born on 15 October 1912.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Austen Bradford and Margaret Louisa Hardy.¹ He married Susan Vaughan-Lee, daughter of Colonel Arthur Vaughan Hanning Vaughan-Lee, on 30 October 1951.¹ He died on 4 March 1996 at age 83.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1932, in the service of the Black Watch.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1942.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.¹ He was commander of the 5th Battalion, Black Watch between 1944 and 1946.¹ He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945 bar.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was commander of the 2nd Battalion, Black Watch between 1953 and 1956.¹ He was admitted to Member, Royal Company of Archers.¹ He retired from the military in 1959.¹

     Susan Vaughan-Lee was the daughter of Colonel Arthur Vaughan Hanning Vaughan-Lee.¹ She married Brigadier Berenger Colborne Bradford, son of Lt.-Col. Edward Austen Bradford and Margaret Louisa Hardy, on 30 October 1951.¹ She died on 17 January 2008.²
     From 30 October 1951, her married name became Bradford.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Flat, Kincardine, Kincardine O’Neil, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Ursula Pickering is the daughter of Henry Dawnay Umfreville Pickering.¹ She married Colonel Arthur Vaughan Hanning Vaughan-Lee, son of Major Vaughan Hanning Vaughan-Lee and Clara Elizabeth Moore, in 1915.¹
     From 1915, her married name became Vaughan-Lee.¹

     Robert Berenger Pickering Bradford was born on 12 August 1952.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Berenger Colborne Bradford and Susan Vaughan-Lee.¹

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹ He lived in 2003 at Kincardine, Kincardine O’Neil, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹
