     Edward Coke, Viscount Coke was born on 2 February 1718/19.¹ He was the son of Thomas Coke, 1st and last Earl of Leicester and Margaret Tufton, Baroness Clifford.¹ He married Lady Mary Campbell, daughter of Field Marshal John Campbell, 2nd Duke of Argyll and Jane Warburton, on 1 April 1747.¹ He and Lady Mary Campbell were separated in 1750.² He died in 1753.¹
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Norfolk between 1741 and 1747.¹ He was styled as Viscount Coke in 1744.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Harwich between 1747 and 1753.¹

     Lady Mary Campbell was born in 1727.² She was the daughter of Field Marshal John Campbell, 2nd Duke of Argyll and Jane Warburton. She married Edward Coke, Viscount Coke, son of Thomas Coke, 1st and last Earl of Leicester and Margaret Tufton, Baroness Clifford, on 1 April 1747.¹ She and Edward Coke, Viscount Coke were separated in 1750.² She died on 30 September 1811.¹
     From 1 April 1747, her married name became Coke.

     Edward Coke was the son of Robert Coke and Lady Anne Osborne.¹ He married Cary Newton, daughter of Sir John Newton, 3rd Bt. and Abigail Heveningham, circa 1696.¹ He died on 13 April 1707.¹
     He lived.

     Cary Newton was the daughter of Sir John Newton, 3rd Bt. and Abigail Heveningham.^1,2 She married Edward Coke, son of Robert Coke and Lady Anne Osborne, circa 1696.¹ She died on 4 August 1707.¹
     From circa 1696, her married name became Coke.¹

     Sir John Newton, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1651.² He was the son of Sir John Newton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Eyre.² He married, firstly, Abigail Heveningham, daughter of William Heveningham and Lady Mary Carey, on 22 June 1676 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England^G.² He married, secondly, Susanna Wharton, daughter of Michael Wharton, on 23 March 1690/91 at St. Gile’s-in-the-Fields Church, London, England^G.³ He died on 12 February 1733/34.²
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Newton, of Barr’s Court, co. Gloucester. He lived at Barr’s Court, Gloucestershire, England^G.

     Anne Coke was the daughter of Edward Coke and Cary Newton.¹ She married Major Philip Roberts in 1715.¹
     From 1715, her married name became Roberts.¹

     Major Philip Roberts married Anne Coke, daughter of Edward Coke and Cary Newton, in 1715.¹ He died in 1779.²
     He had five younger sons and a daughter.¹

     Wenman Coke was born on 7 January 1716/17.² He was the son of Major Philip Roberts and Anne Coke.³ He married Elizabeth Chamberlayne, daughter of George Chamberlayne and Constance Hardy.³ He died on 11 April 1776 at age 59.³
     His name was legally changed to Wenamn Coke on the death of his uncle.¹ He was given the name of Wenman Roberts at birth.¹ He lived at Holkham, Norfolk, England^G.³ He lived at Longford, Derbyshire, England^G.³

     Elizabeth Chamberlayne was the daughter of George Chamberlayne and Constance Hardy.^1,2 She married Wenman Coke, son of Major Philip Roberts and Anne Coke.¹ She died on 31 December 1810.^1,3
     Her married name became Coke.¹

     George Chamberlayne was baptised on 15 September 1702.² He married Constance Hardy on 27 May 1732.² He died on 15 May 1757 at age 54.²
     He lived at Hillesdon, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ His name was legally changed to George Denton.²
