     Henry Bowyer-Smijth was born in 1891.¹ He was the son of William Baird Bowyer-Smijth and C. V. Sweeny.¹ He died in 1917.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹

     David Malcolm Bowyer-Smijth was born illegitimately, but legitimised in Scotland in 1918 on 26 March 1869.¹ He was the son of Sir William Bowyer-Smijth, 11th Bt. and Eliza Fechnie Malcolm.¹ He married Miriam McCheyne Battye, daughter of Major Legh Richmond Battye and Margaret Fanny Jane Moffat, on 10 November 1901.¹ He and Miriam McCheyne Battye were divorced in 1910.¹ He died on 8 March 1930 at age 60.¹

     Miriam McCheyne Battye was the daughter of Major Legh Richmond Battye and Margaret Fanny Jane Moffat.^1,2 She married David Malcolm Bowyer-Smijth, son of Sir William Bowyer-Smijth, 11th Bt. and Eliza Fechnie Malcolm, on 10 November 1901.¹ She and David Malcolm Bowyer-Smijth were divorced in 1910.¹ She died in December 1942.¹
     From 10 November 1901, her married name became Bowyer-Smijth.¹

     Major Legh Richmond Battye was born on 29 June 1845.² He was the son of George Wynyard Battye and Marian Martha Money.² He was baptised on 28 December 1845 at Chupra Zillah Sarun, Bengal, India^G.² He married Margaret Fanny Jane Moffat, daughter of Augustus Kay Moffat, on 9 November 1868 at Lucknow, Bengal, India^G.² He died on 18 June 1888 at age 42.² He was buried on 20 June 1888 at Abbottabad, Bengal, India^G.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.¹

     Basil Malcolm Bowyer-Smijth was born on 10 November 1901.¹ He is the son of David Malcolm Bowyer-Smijth and Miriam McCheyne Battye.¹ He married Mabel Henrietta Tetlock, daughter of James Samuel Tetlock, in 1924.¹
