Sir Charles William Rouse-Boughton, 1st and 9th Bt.1 
He was given the name of Charles William Boughton at birth.1 He was in the Bengal Civil Service in 1765.1 In 1769 his name was legally changed to Charles William Boughton-Rouse.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Evesham between 1780 and 1790.1 He held the office of Secretary to Board of Control for Indian Affairs between 1784 and 1791.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Chiswick Volunteers.1 On 13 May 1791 his name was legally changed to Charles William Boughton-Rouse by Royal Licence, allowing him to use the names Rouse-Boughton or Boughton-Rouse.1 He was created 1st Baronet Boughton-Rouse, of Rouse Lench, co. Worcester and Downton Hall, co. Salop [Great Britain] on 28 July 1791.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Boughton, of Lawford Parva, co. Warwick [E., 1641] on 26 February 1794.1 On 26 February 1794 his name was legally changed to Charles William Rouse-Boughton.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bramber between 1796 and 1799.1 He lived at Rouse Lench, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Downton Hall, Ludlow, Shropshire, EnglandG.1
