     Henry Howard, 6th Duke of Norfolk was born on 12 July 1628.⁴ He was the son of Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.⁴ He married, firstly, Lady Anne Somerset, daughter of Edward Somerset, 2nd Marquess of Worcester and Elizabeth Dormer, before 21 October 1652.⁵ He married, secondly, Jane Bickerton, daughter of Robert Bickerton, before 23 January 1677/78.⁴ He died on 13 January 1683/84 at age 55.⁴
     He held the office of Ambassador to Morocco in 1669.⁴ He was created 1st Baron Howard of Castle Rising [England] on 27 March 1669.¹ He was created 1st Earl Marshal, of England [England] on 19 October 1672.⁴ He was created 1st Earl of Norwich [England] on 19 October 1672.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Baron Furnivalle [E., 1295] on 13 December 1677.⁴ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Norfolk [E., 1644] on 13 December 1677.⁴ He succeeded as the 6th Duke of Norfolk [E., 1483] on 13 December 1677.⁴ He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Surrey [E., 1483] on 13 December 1677.⁴ He succeeded as the 17th Lord Mowbray [E., 1295] on 13 December 1677.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Mowbray [E., 1640] on 13 December 1677.¹ He succeeded as the 18th Lord Segrave [E., 1295] on 13 December 1677.¹

     Philip Howard was born in 1629.¹ He was the son of Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.² He died on 16 June 1694.¹
     He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was ordained in 1652.¹ He was First Chaplain to Catherine of Braganza.¹ He was First Prior in 1658 at English Dominican House, Bornem, Flanders, Belgium.¹ He held the office of Grand Almoner in 1665.¹ He held the office of Cardinal in 1675.¹ He held the office of Cardinal Protector of England in 1679.¹ He was founder of the English Dominican College of St. Thomas at Louvain, Belgium.¹ He held the office of Cardinal of the Church of Rome. He held the office of Vicar-General of the revived English Dominican Province in 1694.¹

     Charles Howard was the son of Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.² He married Mary Tattershall, daughter of George Tattershall.¹ He died on 31 March 1713.¹
     He lived at Deepdene, Dorking, Surrey, England.¹ He lived at Greystock, Cumberland, England^G.¹

     Henry Charles Howard was the son of Charles Howard and Mary Tattershall.¹ He married Mary Aylward, daughter of John Aylward.¹ He died on 10 June 1730.¹
     He lived at Greystoke, Cumberland, England.¹

     Charles Howard, 10th Duke of Norfolk was born on 1 December 1720.¹ He was the son of Henry Charles Howard and Mary Aylward.¹ He married Catherine Brockholes, daughter of John Brockholes, on 8 November 1739.¹ He died on 31 August 1786 at age 65.¹
     He wrote the book Miss Frances Howard of the Family of Norfolk of England, published 1763.¹ He wrote the book Consideration on the Penal Laws against Roman Catholics in England and teh new-acquired Colonies in America, published 1764.¹ He wrote the book Thoughts, Essays and Maxims, chiefly Religious and Political, published 1768.¹ He wrote the book Anecdotes of the Howard Family, published 1769.¹ He wrote the book The Memorial of Charles Howard Esq of Greystock.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Surrey [E., 1483] on 20 September 1777.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Duke of Norfolk [E., 1483] on 20 September 1777.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl Marshal, of England [E., 1672] on 20 September 1777.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Norfolk [E., 1644] on 20 September 1777.¹

     Charles Howard, 11th Duke of Norfolk was born on 15 March 1746.¹ He was the son of Charles Howard, 10th Duke of Norfolk and Catherine Brockholes.¹ He married, firstly, Mariana Coppinger, daughter of John Coppinger, on 1 August 1767.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Scudamore, daughter of Charles Fitzroy-Scudamore and Frances Scudamore, on 6 April 1771 at London, England^G.¹ He died on 16 December 1815 at age 69.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Carlisle between 1780 and 1786.¹ He held the office of Deputy Earl Marshal in 1782.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the West Riding, Yorkshire between 1782 and 1798.¹ He held the office of a Lord of Treasury between April 1783 and December 1783.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Earl Marshal, of England [E., 1672] on 31 August 1786.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Earl of Surrey [E., 1483] on 31 August 1786.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Norfolk [E., 1644] on 31 August 1786.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Duke of Norfolk [E., 1483] on 31 August 1786.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)¹ He was president of the Society of Arts between 1793 and 1815.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex between 1807 and 1815.¹ He held the office of Mayor of Gloucester in 1810.¹

     Henry Howard, 7th Duke of Norfolk was born on 11 January 1654/55.² He was the son of Henry Howard, 6th Duke of Norfolk and Lady Anne Somerset.³ He married Mary Mordaunt, Baroness Mordaunt, daughter of Henry Mordaunt, 2nd Earl of Peterborough and Lady Penelope O’Brien, on 8 August 1677.³ He and Mary Mordaunt, Baroness Mordaunt were divorced on 11 April 1700 on the grounds of her adultery with Sir John Germaine, 1st Bt.³ He and Mary Mordaunt, Baroness Mordaunt were separated in 1685.² He died on 2 April 1701 at age 46, without issue.³

     Lord Thomas Howard was the son of Henry Howard, 6th Duke of Norfolk and Lady Anne Somerset.² He married Mary Elizabeth Savile, daughter of Sir John Savile, 1st and last Bt. and Mary Paston.¹ He died on 9 November 1689, lost at sea off Brest while travelling to France from Ireland.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King’s Life Guards.² He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He held the office of Master of the Robes in 1687.² He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the West Riding, Yorkshire in 1687.² He held the office of Ambassador to the Holy See in 1688.² He lived at Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England^G.³

     Thomas Howard, 8th Duke of Norfolk was born on 11 December 1683.³ He was the son of Lord Thomas Howard and Mary Elizabeth Savile.³ He married Mary Maria Winifred Francisca Sherburne, daughter of Sir Nicholas Sherburne, 1st and last Bt., on 26 May 1709.³ He died on 23 December 1732 at age 49, without issue.¹

     Edward Howard, 9th Duke of Norfolk was born on 5 June 1686.² He was the son of Lord Thomas Howard and Mary Elizabeth Savile.¹ He married Mary Blount, daughter of Edward Blount and Anne Guise, on 26 November 1727.² He died on 20 September 1777 at age 91, without issue.¹
     He fought in the Jacobite Uprising in 1715, and escaped punishment through his brother’s interceding for him, and the hostile witnesses at his trial for high treason.² In 1722 he was rearrested on suspicion of further Jacobite intriguing, and was released after six months in custody.² He succeeded as the 4th Baron Howard of Castle Rising, co.      On his death, the Earldom of Norfolk and Barony of Howard became extinct. His Lordships of Mowbray, Furnivall, Strange of Blackmere and Talbot fell into abeyance between the daughters of his brother, Philip.²
