     Sir Thomas Fraser Grove, 1st Bt. was born on 27 November 1823.² He was the son of John Grove and Jean Helen Fraser.² He married, firstly, Katherine Grace O’Grady, daughter of Hon. Waller O’Grady and Hon. Grace Elizabeth Massy, on 16 January 1847.² He married, secondly, Frances Hinton Northcote, daughter of Henry Northcote, on 19 September 1882.² He died on 14 January 1897 at age 73.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Dragoons.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1863.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Wiltshire between 1865 and 1874.² He was created 1st Baronet Grove, of Ferne, Wiltshire [U.K.] on 18 March 1874.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Wiltshire Yeomanry Cavalray.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wilton between 1885 and 1892.²
