     Sir John Blunden, 2nd Bt. was born on 15 August 1767.2 He was the son of Sir John Blunden, 1st Bt. and Hon. Lucy Susanna Cuffe.1 He married, firstly, Frances Robbins, daughter of John Robbins and Frances Shanley, circa 26 January 1786.1,2 He married, secondly, Hester Helsham, daughter of John Helsham and Mary Blunt, in 1812.1 He died on 1 March 1818 at age 50, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Blunden, of Castle Blunden, co. Kilkenny [I., 1766] in 1783.1 He held the office of Mayor of Kilkenny between 1801 and 1802.2 He held the office of Sheriff of County Kilkenny in 1805.2 He held the office of Sheriff of County Kilkenny in 1813.2
