     Ephraim Henry Adams was born on 22 September 1897 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Richard James Guildford Adams and Amy Caroline Buffett Christian.¹ He married Amy Ruth Christian, daughter of Holder Brownell Christian and Mary Quintal, in 1917 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died on 2 September 1968 at age 70 at Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.² He was buried at Norfolk Island Cemetery, Kingston, Norfolk Island.²
     Ephraim Henry Adams also went by the nick-name of ‘Pumper’. He retired from the military on 9 March 1944, with the rank of Private, late of the Australian Army.²

     Amy Ruth Christian was born on 28 July 1900 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Holder Brownell Christian and Mary Quintal.¹ She married Ephraim Henry Adams, son of Richard James Guildford Adams and Amy Caroline Buffett Christian, in 1917 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She died on 9 April 1954 at age 53 at Norfolk Island.² She was buried at Norfolk Island Cemetery, Kingston, Norfolk Island.²
     Amy Ruth Christian usually went by her middle name of Ruth. From 1917, her married name became Adams.¹
