     Thomas Liddell was born before 1708. He was the son of Thomas Liddell and Jane Clavering.¹ He married Margaret Bowes, daughter of Sir William Bowes.¹

     Margaret Bowes was the daughter of Sir William Bowes.² She married Thomas Liddell, son of Thomas Liddell and Jane Clavering.¹
     Her married name became Liddell.

     Very Rev. Henry George Liddell was born on 6 February 1811.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry George Liddell and Charlotte Lyon.¹ He married Lorina Reeve, daughter of James Reeve, on 2 July 1846.¹ He died on 18 January 1898 at age 86.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1833 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1835 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.)¹ He was awarded the Greek-English Lexicon between 1843 and 1897.¹ He was White’s Professor of Moral Philosophy in 1845 at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was Headmaster between 1846 and 1855 at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.¹ He held the office of Domestic Chaplain to HRH The Prince Consort between 1846 and 1861.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1855 with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He wrote the book A History of Ancient Rome, published 1855.¹ He held the office of Dean of Christ Church. Oxford between 1855 and 1891.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University between 1870 and 1874.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1893 with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)¹

     Lorina Reeve was the daughter of James Reeve. She married Very Rev. Henry George Liddell, son of Reverend Henry George Liddell and Charlotte Lyon, on 2 July 1846.¹ She died on 25 June 1910.¹
     Her married name became Liddell.

     Maria Susannah Simpson was the daughter of John Simpson and Lady Anne Lyon.¹ She married Thomas Henry Liddell, 1st Baron Ravensworth, son of Sir Henry George Liddell, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Steele, on 26 March 1796 at Upper Harley Street, London, England^G.³ She died on 22 November 1845 at Lamesley, County Durham, England^G.³
     Her married name became Liddell. After her marriage, Maria Susannah Simpson was styled as Baroness Ravensworth on 17 July 1821.

     John Bright was the son of Sir Henry Liddell, 3rd Bt. and Catherine Bright.¹ He married Cordelia Clutterbuck.¹ He died on 6 October 1737.¹
     He lived at Badsworth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ His name was legally changed to John Bright taken with arms on inheriting most of his maternal grandfather’s estates.¹ He was given the name of John Liddell at birth.¹

     Sir Frederick Francis Liddell was born on 7 June 1865.¹ He was the son of Very Rev. Henry George Liddell and Lorina Reeve.² He married Mabel Alice Magniac, daughter of Arthur Magniac and Julia Eliza Daniell, on 23 July 1901.¹ He died on 19 March 1950 at age 84.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1888 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1892 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inns in 1894 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was 2nd Parliamentary Counsel, Treasury between 1903 and 1917.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1916.¹ He was 1st Parliamentary Counsel between 1917 and 1928.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1929.¹ He was Counsel to the Speaker, House of Commons between 1929 and 1943.¹ He was Ecclesiastical Commissioner of the House of Commons between 1944 and 1948.¹

     Mabel Alice Magniac was the daughter of Arthur Magniac and Julia Eliza Daniell.¹ She married Sir Frederick Francis Liddell, son of Very Rev. Henry George Liddell and Lorina Reeve, on 23 July 1901.² She died on 15 May 1959.²
     Her married name became Liddell.
