     Michael Steuart Blois-Brooke was born on 13 August 1919.1 He was the son of Major Eardley Steuart Brooke and Violet Mary Magdalene Sproat.1 He married Mary Mead, daughter of Cecil Harvey Mead, on 20 August 1949.1 He died on 13 November 1995 at age 76.1
     He was given the name of Michael Steuart Brooke at birth.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Royal Naval and Royal Marine Forces Reserve Decoration (R.D.)1 On 24 March 1953 his name was legally changed to Michael Steuart Blois-Brooke by Deed Poll.1
