     Edmond FitzMaurice, 8th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was the son of Thomas FitzMaurice, 7th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Anore Geraldine.1 He married Móre O’Connor, daughter of Connor O’Connor of Kerry.1 He died in 1510.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] in 1469.1 In 1485 he recovered lands which had been granted to his ancestors by King John.1 In 1489 he was summoned to attend King Henry VII’s court at Greenwich, but disobeyed the summons.1
     He was “a vessel of wisdom and hospitality.”1
