William Parsons1 
He was Governor of the territory of Ely O’Carroll in 1641.1 On 20 January 1642/43 he held Birr Castle for 14-15 months before surrendering to the Confederate Irish.1 He had three younger sons and three daughters.1

He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for King’s County [Ireland] between 1692 and 1741.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Parsons, of Birr Castle [I., 1677] in 1698.2
