     Her married name became Galwey.¹

     Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey was born on 11 February 1871.¹ He was the son of William Galwey and Louisa (?)¹ He married, firstly, Anne Louisa Valentine, daughter of Anne Elizabeth Purdon, before 1897.¹ He and Anne Louisa Valentine were divorced in 1904.¹ He married, secondly, Helena Davey, daughter of David Davey, after 1904.¹ He died on 3 April 1921 at age 50.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment.¹

     Anne Louisa Valentine is the daughter of Anne Elizabeth Purdon.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey, son of William Galwey and Louisa (?), before 1897.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey were divorced in 1904.¹
     She lived at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹ From before 1904, her married name became Galwey.¹

     Anne Elizabeth Purdon is the daughter of Charles De La Cherois Purdon.¹
     Her married name became Valentine.¹

     Charles De La Cherois Purdon was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (F.R.C.S.I.)¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹

     Brigadier William Charles Vernon Galwey was born on 18 February 1897.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey and Anne Louisa Valentine.¹ He died on 16 October 1977 at age 80 at Lower Bourne, Farnham, Surrey, England.²
     He was educated at Bedford Modern School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1914, in the service of the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)¹ He gained the rank of in 1923 in the Royal Signals.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Signals.¹ He was commander of the Training Brigade, Royal Signals.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1941.¹ He retired from the military in 1950.¹ He lived in 1976 at Morris Lodge Hotel, Lower Bourne, Farnham, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Helena Davey was the daughter of David Davey.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey, son of William Galwey and Louisa (?), after 1904.¹ She died on 20 August 1944.¹
     From after 1904, her married name became Galwey.¹

     Reginald Hugo de Burgh Galwey was born on 17 May 1917.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey and Helena Davey.¹ He married Elizabeth Grace Fraser on 9 September 1939.¹ He died on 10 August 1971 at age 54.¹
