Rt. Hon. John Bright was born on 16 November 1811 at Greenbank, Rochdale, Lancashire, England.3 He was the son of Jacob Bright and Martha Wood.1,3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Priestman, daughter of Jonathan Priestman, in November 1839.3 He married, secondly, Margaret Elizabeth Leatham, daughter of William Leatham, on 10 June 1847.3 He died on 27 March 1889 at age 77.3
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1
