Admiral Sir Francis Charles Bridgeman-Simpson1 

Admiral Sir Francis Charles Bridgeman-Simpson was born on 7 December 1848.1 He was the son of Reverend William Bridgeman-Simpson and Lady Frances Laura Wentworth FitzWilliam.1 He married Emily Charlotte Shiffner, daughter of Thomas Shiffner and Mary Brown, on 6 November 1889.3 He died on 17 February 1929 at age 80, without issue.1
He was given the name of Francis Charles Simpson at birth.2 He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur 2nd class.1 He was awarded the Commander, Saviour of Greece.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1903.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Home Fleet between 1907 and 1909.1 He held the office of Second Sea Lord of the Admiralty between 1909 and 1911.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1911.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Home Fleet in 1911.1 He held the office of First Sea Lord of the Admiralty between 1911 and 1912.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1912.1 He lived at Congreve Hall, Leeds, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
