     He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada^G.¹ He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1958 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He held the office of Puisne Judge of the Superior Court and Court of the Queen’s Bench [Quebec] between 1972 and 1973.¹ He held the office of Associate Chief Justice of the Superior Court [Quebec] between 1973 and 1983.¹ He held the office of Puisne Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal [Canada] in 1983.¹

     Andrew John Knatchbull-Hugessen was born on 30 June 1926.¹ He is the son of Hon. Adrian Norton Knatchbull-Hugessen and Margaret Cecilia Duggan.¹ He married Jane Frances Currie, daughter of Douglas Gilfillan Currie, in 1952.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 5 Beacon Road, Kirkland, Quebec, Canada^G.¹

     Jane Frances Currie is the daughter of Douglas Gilfillan Currie.¹ She married Andrew John Knatchbull-Hugessen, son of Hon. Adrian Norton Knatchbull-Hugessen and Margaret Cecilia Duggan, in 1952.¹
     From 1952, her married name became Knatchbull-Hugessen.¹
