William Brabazon, 1st Earl of Meath1 
He was appointed Knight in February 1603/4.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Brabazon, Baron of Ardee, co. Louth [I., 1616] on 7 August 1625.1 On 8 February 1626/27 a King’s Letter ordered that he should be created Earl of Carlow, but this was suppressed, and created Earl of Meath instead.1 He was created 1st Earl of Meath [Ireland] on 16 April 1627, with a special remainder to his brother Sir Anthony Brabazon.1
