     Hon. Violet Dagmar Marion Aga Borthwick was born on 3 June 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Cunninghame Borthwick, 19th Lord Borthwick and Harriet Alice Day.¹ She married Captain Lewis G. Freeland on 22 November 1900.¹ She died, leaving issue.¹
     From 22 November 1900, her married name became Freeland.¹

     Captain Lewis G. Freeland married Hon. Violet Dagmar Marion Aga Borthwick, daughter of Cunninghame Borthwick, 19th Lord Borthwick and Harriet Alice Day, on 22 November 1900.¹

     Hon. Mary Francis Harriet Borthwick was born on 11 February 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Cunninghame Borthwick, 19th Lord Borthwick and Harriet Alice Day.¹ She married Harold Chaloner Dowdall on 1 July 1897.¹ She died, leaving issue.¹
     From 1 July 1897, her married name became Dowdall.¹

     Harold Chaloner Dowdall married Hon. Mary Francis Harriet Borthwick, daughter of Cunninghame Borthwick, 19th Lord Borthwick and Harriet Alice Day, on 1 July 1897.¹
     He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He lived at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)¹

     Thomas Scott Borthwick was born on 14 July 1817.¹ He was the son of Patrick Borthwick and Ariana Corbet.¹ He died on 22 April 1839 at age 21, unmarried.¹

     Marion Borthwick was born on 28 October 1805.¹ She was the daughter of Patrick Borthwick and Ariana Corbet.¹ She died on 22 December 1828 at age 23, unmarried.¹

     Margaret Borthwick was born on 3 September 1807.¹ She was the daughter of Patrick Borthwick and Ariana Corbet.¹ She married Nathaniel Gordon Corbett on 28 September 1832.¹
     From 28 September 1832, her married name became Corbett.¹

     Nathaniel Gordon Corbett married Margaret Borthwick, daughter of Patrick Borthwick and Ariana Corbet, on 28 September 1832.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.¹

     Ariana Borthwick was born on 14 January 1810.¹ She was the daughter of Patrick Borthwick and Ariana Corbet.¹ She died on 20 October 1833 at age 23, unmarried.¹

     James Borthwick was born on 25 August 1782.¹ He was the son of Archibald Borthwick and Margaret Nicholson Scott.¹ He married Sarah Finlay, daughter of William Finlay. He died on 9 October 1866 at age 84.¹
     He was managing director of North British Insurance Company.¹
     He had eight other daughters, all of whom died unmarried.¹
