David Lynar Fawcett was born in 1808 at County Offaly, Ireland.² He was the son of James Fawcett and Rebecca Skerrett.² He married Anne Frances Porter on 3 April 1838 at St. Pancras, London, England.^1,2 He died on 3 July 1843 at Camden Town, London, England, murdered in a duel by his brother-in-law, Alexander Thompson Munro.²
