     Commander Edward Biddulph was born on 16 January 1790.¹ He was the son of Simon Biddulph and Ann Burnet.¹ He married Mary Stewart Chase on 10 February 1821. He died on 28 January 1851 at age 61.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Hunter’s River, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Simon Biddulph was baptised on 17 May 1761.¹ He was the son of Walter Biddulph and Mary Adcock.¹ He married Ann Burnet, daughter of Captain Thomas Burnet, on 11 July 1785. He died on 5 January 1842 at age 80 at Bathurst, Cape Province, South Africa^G.^1,2
     In 1820 he emigrated to South Africa.¹

     Walter Biddulph was baptised on 18 August 1705.¹ He was the son of Simon Biddulph and Jane Birch.¹ He married Mary Adcock on 24 September 1745. He died circa August 1775.¹ He was buried on 20 August 1775.¹

     Simon Biddulph was the son of Richard Biddulph.¹

     Her married name became Biddulph.³
