Admiral Sir Richard Hussey-Bickerton, 2nd Bt.1 
He was given the name of Richard Bickerton at birth.1 He gained the rank of Cadet in 1771 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1777.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1779.1 He gained the rank of action off Martinique on 29 May 1781.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bickerton [G.B., 1778] on 25 February 1792.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1799.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crescent of Turkey on 8 October 1801.1 Between 1804 and 1805 he was second in command under Nelson.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Poole between 1807 and 1812.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1810.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth between 1812 and 1814.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 2 January 1815.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1818 in the Marines.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 On 16 May 1823 his name was legally changed to Richard Hussey-Bickerton by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of General in June 1830 in the Marines.1 He lived at Upwood, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
