     He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (F.R.C.S.E.)¹ He was a surgeon.¹

     Sarah Jane Bland is the daughter of Captain Robert Bland.¹ She married, secondly, George William Bell, son of George Bell and Isabella Ross, on 7 December 1869.¹
     Her married name became Raitt.¹ From 7 December 1869, her married name became Bell.¹

     Captain Robert Bland gained the rank of Captain in the 72nd Regiment.¹

     George Frederick Bell was born on 31 October 1848.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Blizzard Bell and Agnes Agnew.¹ He died on 9 February 1929 at age 80, unmarried.¹
     He was a merchant at London, England^G.¹

     John Bulteel was born on 14 November 1763.^2,3 He was the son of Sir John Bulteel and Hon. Diana Bellenden.¹ He married Elizabeth Perring, daughter of Thomas Perring and Elizabeth Pawling, in April 1788.² He died on 28 January 1837 at age 73.^2,3
     He lived at Flete, Devon, England.⁴ He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon.³

     Sir John Bulteel was born on 22 July 1733 at Fleet House, Membland, Devon, England^G.^2,3 He was the son of James Bulteel and Mary Crocker.² He was baptised on 23 August 1733 at Holbeton, Devon, England^G.⁴ He married Hon. Diana Bellenden, daughter of John Bellenden, 3rd Lord Bellenden of Broughton and Mary Parnell, on 6 November 1758.² He died on 16 September 1801 at age 68 at Fleet Damarell.^2,3

     Hon. Diana Bellenden was born on 17 December 1731.² She was the daughter of John Bellenden, 3rd Lord Bellenden of Broughton and Mary Parnell.¹ She married Sir John Bulteel, son of James Bulteel and Mary Crocker, on 6 November 1758.³ She died in February 1799 at age 67 at Bath, Somerset, England^G.²
     She was also known as Elizabeth Diana.³ From 6 November 1758, her married name became Bulteel.³

     Andrew Agnew Bell was born on 30 March 1855.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Blizzard Bell and Agnes Agnew.¹ He married Jessie Anderson, daughter of John Anderson, in 1883.¹ He died circa 1929 at Boscombe, Hampshire, England^G.¹
     He was a banker at London, England^G.¹

     Jessie Anderson was the daughter of John Anderson.¹ She married Andrew Agnew Bell, son of Reverend Thomas Blizzard Bell and Agnes Agnew, in 1883.¹ She died circa 1935, without issue.¹
     From 1883, her married name became Bell.¹

     John Anderson lived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹
