George Byng, 9th Viscount Torrington1 
He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Torrington, co. Devon [G.B., 1721] on 20 October 1889.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Byng, of Wrotham, Kent [G.B., 1715] on 20 October 1889.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Byng of Southill, co. Bedford [G.B., 1721] on 20 October 1889.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Victoria between 1899 and 1901.2 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1903.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1906 in the Rifle Brigade.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1914 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Air Force.2
