Shortridge.¹ She married, firstly, Edward Reginald John Talbot, son of John Reginald Francis George Talbot and Sarah Eliza Jones, on 15 May 1909.² She married, secondly, Major Nigel William Frances Baynes, son of Walter Francis Baynes and Amelia Sarah Malton, on 25 January 1912.¹
     From 15 May 1909, her married name became Talbot. From 25 January 1912, her married name became Baynes.¹

     James E. D. Shortridge is the son of Sir Jon Deacon Shortridge and Diana Jean Gordon.¹ He married Annabelle S. Cazenove, daughter of Michael Philip de Lérisson Cazenove and Carolyn Anne Faulconer.¹

     T. W. Shortridge graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)² He lived at Honiton, Devon, England.²

     Katherine Phoebe Baynes was born in 1905.¹ She was the daughter of Major Nigel William Frances Baynes and Phoebe Morris.¹ She died in 1908.¹

     Amy Helen Baynes was the daughter of Walter Francis Baynes and Amelia Sarah Malton.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Ethel Frances Baynes was the daughter of Walter Francis Baynes and Amelia Sarah Malton.¹ She died on 12 April 1933, unmarried.¹

     Mary Anne Louisa Baynes was born in 1832 at China.² She was the daughter of Sir William Baynes, 2nd Bt. and Julia Smith.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Thomas de Courcy Hamilton, V.C., son of James John Hamilton and Hon. Anne Geraldine de Courcy, on 8 September 1857.¹ She died on 21 May 1913, leaving issue.¹
     From 8 September 1857, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Thomas de Courcy Hamilton, V.C. was born on 20 July 1825 at Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of James John Hamilton and Hon. Anne Geraldine de Courcy.^1,3 He married Mary Anne Louisa Baynes, daughter of Sir William Baynes, 2nd Bt. and Julia Smith, on 8 September 1857.¹ He died on 3 March 1908 at age 82 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.^1,2 He was buried at Cheltenham Cemetery, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.²
     He fought in the Crimean War in 1855.⁴ He gained the rank of Captain in the 68th Regiment.⁴ He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 24 February 1857, for his actions on 11 May 1855.^1,2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹
