He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Bathurst, of Lechlade, co. Gloucester and of Farrington, co. Oxford [E., 1643] circa 1690.1 He embarked for New Georgia with General Oglethorpe, along with his wife and part of his family.1

He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Bathurst, of Lechlade, co. Gloucester and of Farrington, co. Oxford [E., 1643] circa 1738.1
On his death, his baronetcy became dormant, and possibly extinct. According to Cokayne, it is possible there are descendants of the other sons of the first Baronet still living.1
