     Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt. was born on 20 December 1829.¹ He was the son of Sir David William Barclay of Pierston, 10th Bt. and Elise Josephe de Rune.¹ He married Louise Melanie de Belzim, daughter of Edoard Julien de Belzim, on 10 July 1855.¹ He died on 18 February 1896 at age 66 at 1 rue Francois, Champs Elysées, Paris, France^G.¹
     He was educated at Grosvenor College, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Ceylon]¹ He was in the Colonial Civil Service in 1846.¹ He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Mauritius]¹ He held the office of Collector of Customs and Receiver-General of Mauritius.¹ He held the office of Auditor-General of Ceylon.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1870.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] on 23 November 1888.¹ He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur in 1889.¹

     Louise Melanie de Belzim was the daughter of Edoard Julien de Belzim.¹ She married Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt., son of Sir David William Barclay of Pierston, 10th Bt. and Elise Josephe de Rune, on 10 July 1855.¹ She died in March 1930.²
     From 10 July 1855, her married name became Barclay.¹

     Edoard Julien de Belzim lived at Mauritius^G.¹

     Sir David Edward Durell Barclay of Pierston, 12th Bt. was born on 30 March 1858.¹ He was the son of Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt. and Louise Melanie de Belzim.¹ He married Letitia Orde-Powlett, daughter of Hon. Amias Charles Orde-Powlett and Anne Martha Topham, on 9 October 1889.¹ He died on 2 October 1918 at age 60, without issue.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 19th Hussars.¹ He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882, where he was wounded at Tel-el-Kebir.¹ He gained the rank of Sudan campaign in 1884.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] on 18 February 1896.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain and Railway Staff Officer in 1914.²

     Letitia Orde-Powlett was born on 25 April 1859.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Amias Charles Orde-Powlett and Anne Martha Topham.¹ She married Sir David Edward Durell Barclay of Pierston, 12th Bt., son of Sir Colville Arthur Durell Barclay of Pierston, 11th Bt. and Louise Melanie de Belzim, on 9 October 1889.¹ She died on 5 April 1923 at age 63.²
     From 9 October 1889, her married name became Barclay.¹

     Hon. Amias Charles Orde-Powlett was born on 22 April 1828.² He was the son of Hon. Thomas Powlett Orde-Powlett and Letitia O’Brien.² He married Anne Martha Topham, daughter of Christopher Topham, on 14 July 1852.² He died on 30 September 1899 at age 71.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)² He lived at Thorney Hall, Leyburn, Yorkshire, England^G.²

     William Orde-Powlett, 2nd Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle was born on 31 October 1782.² He was the son of Thomas Orde-Powlett, 1st Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle and Jean Mary Browne-Powlett.^3,2 He was baptised on 8 December 1782 at St. James’s, Westminster, London, England^G.² He married Hon. Maria Carleton, daughter of General Guy Carleton, 1st Baron Dorchester and Lady Maria Howard, on 8 May 1810 at Bisham, Berkshire, England^G.² He died on 13 July 1850 at age 67 at Hackwood Park, Hampshire, England^G, without issue.² He was buried on 20 July 1850 at Old Basing, Hampshire, England^G.² His will was proven (by probate) in August 1850.²
     He was given the name of William Orde at birth.⁴ In 1795 his name was legally changed to William Orde-Powlett.⁴ He was educated at King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Yarmouth between April 1807 and July 1807.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle, co. York [G.B., 1797] on 30 July 1807.²

     Anne Martha Topham was the daughter of Christopher Topham.¹ She married Hon. Amias Charles Orde-Powlett, son of Hon. Thomas Powlett Orde-Powlett and Letitia O’Brien, on 14 July 1852.² She died on 21 February 1917.²
     From 14 July 1852, her married name became Orde-Powlett.²
