     Duncan Bright McLaren was born on 21 March 1874.¹ He was the son of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe.¹ He married Ethel Davies, daughter of Watkin Davies, on 14 February 1906.² He died on 15 December 1934 at age 60, without issue.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Secretary of the British Public School Club of Victoria, British Columbia.² He was in the British Columbia Civil Service.²

     Ethel Davies is the daughter of Watkin Davies.¹ She married Duncan Bright McLaren, son of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe, on 14 February 1906.¹

     Watkin Davies lived at Broom House, Hold Whittington, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England^G.¹

     Ludovic McLaren was born on 20 October 1877.¹ He was the son of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe.¹ He died on 18 October 1898 at age 20.¹

     Katherine McLaren was born circa 1870.¹ She was the daughter of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe.¹ She married Frederick Scott Oliver, son of John Scott Oliver and Katherine McLaren, on 1 March 1893.¹ She died on 25 April 1966.¹

     Frederick Scott Oliver was the son of John Scott Oliver and Katherine McLaren.¹ He married Katherine McLaren, daughter of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe, on 1 March 1893.¹ He died on 3 June 1934.¹
     He lived at Edgerston, Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.²

     John Scott Oliver married Katherine McLaren, daughter of Duncan McLaren and Christina Gordon Renton, before 1869.¹

     Esther Joanna Marie McLaren was the daughter of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe.¹ She married Alan Blackburn, son of Hugh Blackburn, on 29 April 1899.¹ She died on 28 October 1950.¹

     Alan Blackburn was born on 17 March 1865.² He was the son of Hugh Blackburn.¹ He married Esther Joanna Marie McLaren, daughter of John McLaren, Lord McLaren and Ottilie Augusta Schwabe, on 29 April 1899.¹ He died on 9 April 1925 at age 60.² He was buried at Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada^G.²

     Hugh Blackburn lived at Roshven^G.¹ He was a professor.¹
