     Sir John Wolsey Beresford Baddeley, 4th Bt. was born on 27 January 1938.¹ He is the son of Sir John Beresford Baddeley, 3rd Bt. and Nancy Winifred Wolsey.^1,2 He married, firstly, Sarah Rosalind Crofts, daughter of Colin Crofts, on 12 May 1962.¹ He and Sarah Rosalind Crofts were divorced in 1992.¹ He married, secondly, Carol Frances van Geffen, daughter of Adrian Denis Auguste van Geffen and Olive E. Reed, on 16 April 1998.¹
     He was educated at Bradfield School, England^G.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Baddeley, of Lakefield, Parish of St. Mary Stoke Newington, co.      Sarah Rosalind Crofts is the daughter of Colin Crofts.¹ She married Sir John Wolsey Beresford Baddeley, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Beresford Baddeley, 3rd Bt. and Nancy Winifred Wolsey, on 12 May 1962.¹ She and Sir John Wolsey Beresford Baddeley, 4th Bt. were divorced in 1992.¹
     From 12 May 1962, her married name became Baddeley.¹
