     From 1564, her married name became Bacon.¹

     Edmund Butts lived at Thornage, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Anne Bures is the daughter of Henry Bures.¹

     Henry Bures lived at Barrow, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He was also known as Henry Buers.¹

     Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1570.¹ He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.¹ He married Philippa Wotton, daughter of Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley and Hester Pickering.¹ He died on 10 April 1649, without issue.¹ He was buried at Redgrave, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Eye from 1588 to 1589.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1593.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bacon, of Redgrave, co. Suffolk [E., 1611] in November 1624.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1625.¹

     Philippa Wotton was baptised on 7 June 1576 at Boughton Malherbe, Kent, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley and Hester Pickering.¹ She married Sir Edmund Bacon, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.¹ She died on 1 October 1626 at age 50.¹ She was buried on 6 October 1626 at Redgrave, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     Her married name became Bacon.¹

     Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley was born in 1548.² He was the son of Thomas Wotton and Elizabeth Rudston.² He married, firstly, Hester Pickering, daughter of Sir William Pickering, on 1 September 1575 at Boughton Malherbe, Kent, England^G.² He married, secondly, Hon. Margaret Wharton, daughter of Philip Wharton, 3rd Baron Wharton and Lady Frances Clifford, in September 1603.³ He died from April 1625 to 19 January 1625/26.²
     He was created 1st Baron Wotton of Marley, co. Kent [England] on 13 May 1603.⁴

     Hester Pickering was born illegitimately.² She was the daughter of Sir William Pickering.¹ She married Edward Wotton, 1st Baron Wotton of Marley, son of Thomas Wotton and Elizabeth Rudston, on 1 September 1575 at Boughton Malherbe, Kent, England^G.² She died on 8 May 1592.³
     From 1 September 1575, her married name became Wotton.¹

     Sir William Pickering was born in 1516.² He was the son of Sir William Pickering and Eleanor Fairfax.² He died in 1575.²

     Ann Peyton was the daughter of Sir John Peyton, 1st Bt. and Alice Osborne.¹ She married Sir Robert Bacon, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts, before 1640.¹ She died circa September 1640.¹ She was buried on 27 September 1640 at Ryburgh, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     From before 1640, her married name became Bacon.¹
