     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Aubrey, of Llantrithyd, co. Glamorgan [E., 1660] on 14 October 1767, and ‘of Boarstall, co. Bucks.¹‘

     Martha Carter was born circa 1722.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Carter and Martha Cornish.¹ She married Sir Thomas Aubrey, 5th Bt., son of Sir John Aubrey, 3rd Bt. and Mary Stealy, on 18 July 1738.¹ She died on 5 December 1788 at Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ She was buried on 14 December 1788 at Llantrithyd, Glamorgan, Wales^G.¹ She died intestate and her estate was administered in February 1789.¹
     From 18 July 1738, her married name became Aubrey.¹

     Mary Skynner was the daughter of Stephen Skynner and Mary Remington.^1,2 She married Sir James Colebrooke, 1st Bt., son of James Colebrooke and Mary Hudson, in May 1747.³

     John Aubrey was born on 6 December 1771.¹ He was the son of Sir John Aubrey, 6th Bt. and Mary Colebrooke.¹ He died on 2 January 1777 at age 5, accidentally poisoned.¹ He was buried at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Martha Catherine Carter was the daughter of George Richard Carter and Julia Augusta Spilman.¹ She married Sir John Aubrey, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Aubrey, 5th Bt. and Martha Carter, on 26 May 1783.¹ She died on 3 September 1815 at Bath, Somerset, England^G, without issue.¹ She died intestate and her estate was administered in June 1817.¹ She was buried at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹
     From 26 May 1783, her married name became Aubrey.¹

     George Richard Carter is the son of Richard Carter and Martha Cornish.¹
