     Mary Assheton was the daughter of Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Bt. and Mary Vavasour.1 She married Sir Nathaniel Curzon, 4th Bt., son of Sir Nathaniel Curzon, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Penn, on 19 February 1716.1 She died on 18 March 1776.2
     From 19 February 1716, her married name became Curzon.1 On 3 May 1716 she inherited the Assheton estate of Whalley Abbey.1 She was the ancestress of the Barons Scarsdale and the Earls Howe.1

     Sir Isaac Astley, 1st and last Bt. was the son of Thomas Astley and Frances Deane.1 He married, firstly, Rachel Messenger, daughter of Augustine Messenger.1 He married, secondly, Bridget Coke, daughter of John Coke.1 He died on 7 September 1659.1 He was buried at Melton Constable, Norfolk, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of Warwickshire from 1641 to 1642.1 He was appointed Knight on 21 January 1641/42.1 He was created 1st Baronet Astley, of Melton Constable, co. Norfolk [England] on 21 January 1641/42.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Norfolk from 1645 to 1946.1 He lived at Hill Morton, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Melton Constable, Norfolk, EnglandG.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
