     Lt.-Cdr.Rev. John Dorsett Owen Hinton was the son of Captain John Charles Dorsett Hinton.¹ He married Rosalind Ann Elliott, daughter of Charles Edward Murray Elliott and Lucy Eleanor Arthur, on 15 July 1956.¹ He died on 16 October 2002.¹
