Michael Geoffrey Henderson Arbuthnot was born on 28 September 1919.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Geoffrey Schomberg Arbuthnot and Jessie Marguerite Henderson.1 He married Nicole Patricia Collins, daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard Leslie Halliburton Collins, on 24 April 1948.1 He died on 11 June 1967 at age 47 at Eastbourne, Sussex, EnglandG.1,2
He was educated between 1933 and 1938 at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was with Shell in Venezuela and Rhodesia.2
