Henry John Des Voeux.3 He married Jean Margaret Rew Elkington, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Ford Elkington and Mary Rew.3 He died on 20 September 1944 at age 32 at Arnhem, The Netherlands, killed in action.3,2

Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt.1 

Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt. was born on 18 April 1871.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Charles Baring and Helen Graham.1 He married, firstly, Eva Hermione Mackintosh, daughter of Alexander Aeneas Mackintosh, 27th of Mackintosh and Margaret Frances Graham, on 26 January 1898.1 He married, secondly, Brenda Margery Blake, daughter of Canon Joseph Sewell Blake, on 22 January 1937.1 He died on 24 November 1957 at age 86.2
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1897.1 He held the office of Chairman of the Isle of Wight County Council between 1898 and 1957.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for the Isle of Wight between 1906 and 1910.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1908 and 1910, to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the Colonies.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1911 and 1913, to the President of the Board of Education.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1911 and 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Baring, of Nubia House, Isle of Wight [U.K.] on 4 February 1911.1 He held the office of Alderman of the London City Council between 1920 and 1922.1 He held the office of Chairman of the Isle of Wight County Bench in 1934.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1952.1
