Sadruddin Shah, Prince Aga Khan was born on 17 January 1933.1 He was the son of Sultan Mohamed Shah, Aga Khan III and Andrée Josephine Carron.1 He married, firstly, Nina Sheila Dyer in 1957.1 He and Nina Sheila Dyer were divorced in 1962.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Aleya Bereketti in 1972.1 He died on 12 May 2003 at age 70.3
He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was educated at Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.1 He was UNESCO consultant for Afro-Asian Projects in 1958.1 He was Head of Mission and Advisor to U.N. High COmmissioenr for Refugees between 1959 and 1960.1 He was UNESCO special consultant to the Director-General in 1961.1 He held the office of U.N. Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees between 1962 and 1965.1 He was awarded the Grand Cross, Order of St. Silvestro in 1963 Papal.1 He held the office of U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees between 1965 and 1967.1 He was Consultant and Chargé de Mission to the Secretary-General of the U.N. in 1978.1 He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur in 1979 French.1 He graduated from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, in 1986 with a honorary Doctorate.1 He graduated from University of Nice, Nice, FranceG, in 1988 with a honorary Doctorate.1 He was personal representative of the U.N. Secretary-General for Humanitarian Assistance to Irag-Kuwait between 1990 and 1991.1 He graduated from Leeds University, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, EnglandG, in 1992 with a honorary Dcotor of Law (LL.D.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 2002.1 He lived in 2003 at Château de Bellerive, Collonge-Bellerive, Kanton Geneva, SwitzerlandG.1
